Sarpanch shot at in Khonmou, succumbs in Srinagar hospital

Pampore, Mar 9, KNT: Suspected militants shot at a Sarpanch in Khonmou area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Reports said that suspected militants fired upon the Sarpanch at point blank range, leaving him critically injured.
The Sarpanch was shifted to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police sources identified the victim as Sameer Ahmed Bhat son of Abdul Rasheed Bhat.
He was the Sarpanch of Khonmou ‘C’ Ward.
